Here's just Moods as requested. Just like Moods 2 it's full of great artist that really make this reel, a reel gem!

I wonder how they managed to get clearances from all those diverse record companies to issue their stuff on one tape.

In the old days, I often used to contemplate the possibility of doing this (a sort of united artists) on LP records but it was rarely, if ever, achieved.

The closest it came was when record companies loaned their under-contract artists out to other companies on a limited basis.

A great pity - much could have been achieved had such a scheme been viable.

Happy New Year,
mel

Happy New Year everyone!

I was just going through my records yesterday and found my Les Baxter's "Caribbean Moonlight" in Duophonic.
I haven't yet seen this duophonic version on e-bay. Is this a rare version of this album?
I'll be ripping this for my personal archives. Would anyone else be interested in this album?

Yes, Rich.

I am interested in Les Baxter´s "Caribbean Moonlight" album.

In fact, this is a very rare and difficult to find album.

Thanks in advance.

?

Matheous,
I just now opened the Den to bog authors only, so the link should work now. Sorry, all links to the Den are dead. I can't locate my files at this time. I'm missing a finger drive that has all my reels on it. I may have to start all over if I cannot locate them.

Thank you for the eBay hint, Rich.

Hi,
I tried downloading this, and when it finally connected (took a long time) I got:
"Error: MySQL server has gone away"

The second time I got:
"Warning: mysql_fetch_array() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /home/data/sdh1/freefile/public_html/showdownload1.php on line 22"

Have you taken down the file, or is this just a bad time to try downloading it?

This took many tries over time, with the same error messages taking turns, but I got it eventually.
Thank you for one and two.

KL,
I got the same results but with fewer attempts. I'll keep an eye on this. I may have to go with mediafire.

ZippyShare. No one has had trouble with them (...yet).
MediaFire apparently has some kind of robot that reads song titles. If one song title in the zip file matches something sold on iTunes or Amazon, downloaders are blocked with a notice to buy it on-line. The original uploader doesn't get the notice (so they don't notice that anything is wrong).
At TamTamMelodie, it was blocking people from Spin-O-Rama LPs because some titles matched those on mainstream albums.
The only drawback with ZippyShare is that the file gets removed after 30 days of inactivity.
